Shining a Light on Black Maternal Mental Health

On April 10, 2024, Cedars-Sinai, in partnership with BlackDoctor.org, hosted a crucial conversation on Black maternal mental health. According to the American Counseling Association, Black women face an increased risk of perinatal and postnatal mood and anxiety disorders, including depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. Our panel of experts discussed the significance of early diagnosis, the need for support and effective treatment.
